BEWARE: Watch fiscal barometer

It appears the fiscal high pressure is here to stay. Our governing entities, such as federal, state and municipal, should all read “It’s all about spending” in the Aug. 19 opinions section. This person hit the nail on the head. It defies common sense that “we the people” continue to allow our governing bodies to force us ahead into a debtor position, which was recently reported in the national news. Three cities in California, along with a Pennsylvania city, are only the start of a trend which will become the norm. We continue to experience the most difficult of times and it appears this will continue.

The current “Field of Dreams” is a perfect example of spending dollars we do not have and spending on what we don’t need. I commend “it’s all about spending!” Our fiscal barometer is entering the danger zone. All the taxes in the world will not replace the responsibilities that “we the people” deserve.
