WOLVES: 'Honor' isn't right word

“Are you Sh---ing me?” was my first reaction to the Cd’A Press headline in Section C Tuesday entitled “Rally to honor killed wolves.” Honor? You honor fallen soldiers, heroic law officers, persons of achievement, but wolves?

I am not a hunter. Never hunted, therefore, I have no dog in the hunt (every pun intended) so it eludes me why these do-gooders from — wherever they come from— come here to honor dead wolves. OK, what am I missing? I do not agree with cruelty to animals, but I also do not agree with wild carnivores devouring livestock and domestic animals. They are not even on the all-knowing Federal Protected Thingies list.

GAWD people, go back to Encino for crying out loud! P.S. all you anonymous touchy-feely bloggers, I don’t read them!
