AIRWAY HEIGHTS - Jay Sauls held off polesitter Owen Riddle to win the Spokane 200 super late model race on Saturday night at Spokane County Raceway.

Sauls, of Puyallup, Wash., and Riddle, from Naches, Wash., had a spirited battle with fewer than 25 laps remaining before Sauls managed to extend his lead.

Sauls was the class of the field for much of the recent Idaho 200, before his car faltered late in the event.

Braeden Havens of Airways Heights came home in seventh, two laps off the pace, and Spokane's Dave Garber finished 10th, three laps down.

Two-time Idaho 200 champ Kevin Richards of Newman Lake completed 132 laps, and wound up 16th after mechanical difficulties.
