MAILBOXES: Law says don't block

I would like to remind people that now that school is starting, it is against the law to block a mailbox. Under Idaho code, no person shall park a vehicle in front of a mailbox in a manner which would prevent the distribution of mail by the United States Postal Service. Postal carriers must be able to drive in and out of the delivery area without backing up.

You can call the police department at 769-2320 to report the vehicle. People are not aware of this, and can become aggressive if asked politely not to block a mailbox.
