Nutcracker auditions Saturday at Le Danse Studio

COEUR d'ALENE - Auditions for the Eugene Ballet Nutcracker are scheduled this month.

The performance will be at North Idaho College's Schuler Auditorium on Dec. 4.

Auditions for the children's parts will be held at Le Danse Studio, 1917 N. Fifth St. on Saturday, Aug. 25.

"All parts require dance experience of some level," according to a press release.

The day's schedule:

• noon to 1, Waltz of the Flowers, ages 13 and older, must have at least three years of experience (8 parts available)

• 1-2:30 p.m., party children, ages 11 to 14 (12 parts available)

• 2:30-3:30 p.m., Ladybugs, ages 9 to 11 (8 parts available)

• 3:30-4 p.m., Angels, ages 7 to 9 (12 parts available)

• 4-:30 p.m., Baby mice, ages 5 to 7 (12 parts available)

Rehearsals will be at Le Danse Studio every Friday afternoon from Oct. 5 to Nov. 30.

Auditions will be led by Suzanne Haag from the Eugene Ballet Co. and there is a $5 audition fee to Eugene Ballet Co.
