Floral Design custom floral studio moves to Post Falls

Floral Design, a custom floral studio, recently moved from 6680 N. Government Way in Coeur d'Alene to 780 N. Cecil Road, Suite 102, in Post Falls near Wal-Mart.

Hours are 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday and Saturday by appointment.

The business specializes in weddings and funerals and features flowers from regional growers. It also sells bouquets in the store.

Bob Koep named regional director for insurance group

Bob Koep of Harris/Dean Insurance of Coeur d'Alene was recently named a regional director for the Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of Idaho for 2012-13.

The election came during the group's 88th annual convention at the Sun Valley Resort.

Hiring Our Heroes veterans job fair set for Sept. 29

A Hiring Our Heroes job fair for veterans will be held Sept. 29 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Kootenai County Fairgrounds, 2056 N. Government Way, Coeur d'Alene.

The event is free for employers and job seekers.

Idaho Department of Labor awarded veteran training funds

The Idaho Department of Labor received a $750,000 grant from the U.S. Department of Labor to provide job training for veterans statewide.

Training areas include, but are not limited to, culinary arts, hospitality, computer network support, hazardous materials removal, pharmacy technicians and software development.

Marketing Master Mind networking event is Sept. 12

Women in Networking will sponsor a Marketing Master Mind event Sept. 12 at 11:30 a.m. at Red Lion Templin's, 414 E. First Ave., Post Falls.

Attendees will share what has worked for their business and learn new marketing techniques. Visitors are welcome to attend.

Post Falls Fairbridge Inn Express sees turnaround

Fairbridge Hotels International announced this week that revenues at Fairbridge Inn Express in Post Falls increased by 36 percent since FHI took over operations and managerial responsibilities of the property a year ago.

Fairbridge Hotels International, based in Spokane, began operating the distressed property, formerly a Howard Johnson hotel, for Inland Northwest Bank.

The inn's 12-month revenue prior to June 2011 was $522,000. The following year through last June, the revenue was up to $709,000.
