INVEST: Beware the many scams
If it sounds too good to be true, IT IS ! Just a word of advice especially to the young folks out there (the older folks should know better). We have several friends, young and old, who invested in “penny auctions” who have now suffered some fairly large losses due to some fast talking salesman and some unfounded promises of wealth. For your protection, PLEASE don’t fall for these scams. I’d always thought that if a person wanted to be successful in life, you need to work hard and invest wisely and safeguard your own assets. There is no free ride!
Be honest with your friends and keep an eye out for scams such as this that will come back to bite you. Our hearts go out to all those who were taken in by these scams. Another way to stay on top of this foolishness is to Invest in yourself. If I am going to play poker, I want to deal the cards!
