POST FALLS - Post Falls Police will host the second Cops-n-Kids and Rodders-n-More Open House on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the police station, 1717 E. Polston Ave.

The event is free and features K-9 and SWAT team demonstrations, station tours, vintage emergency vehicles, a classic car show, kids activities, fingerprinting and Northwest MedStar.

"This will be a wonderful day for families to tour the police department with varied educational opportunities for the public," PFPD Chief Scot Haug said.

The Emergency Vehicle Owners and Operators Association (EVOOA) will host its regional gathering in conjunction with the open house.

The EVOOA will be collecting food items to benefit the Post Falls Food Bank. Look for donation drop areas by the registration tables.

Vehicle registration will begin at 9 a.m. for those wanting to participate in the classic car show.

There will be presentations about PFPD's Volunteers in Police Service (VIPS) program, Victim Services Unit (formally OASIS), Block Watch programs, DARE and school resource program.
