Grove finishes 4th at tournament

WALLA WALLA, Wash. - Former Coeur d'Alene High and University of Idaho golfer Russell Grove shot a 2-under 70 and finished fourth at the Northwest Open Invitational on Wednesday at Wine Valley Golf Club.

Grove, an assistant pro at Avondale Golf Club in Hayden Lake, finished 8-under (71-67-70-208) for the tournament, three shots behind winner Brandon Kearney of Bend Golf and Country Club (63-71-70-204).

Defending champion Corey Prugh of Spokane finished seventh (69-67-74-210).

The tournament returns to Wine Valley in 2013.
