Grove moves into sixth at Northwest Open

WALLA WALLA, Wash. - Former Coeur d'Alene and University of Idaho golfer Russell Grove, an assistant pro at Avondale Golf Club in Hayden Lake, shot a 5-under 67 and is in sixth place at 6-under 138 after the second round at the Northwest Open Invitational at Wine Valley Golf Club.
Brandon Kearney, assistant professional at Bend Golf and Country Club, shot a one-under par 71 on Tuesday, and leads by two strokes with a 134.
Defending champion Corey Prugh from Manito Golf and Country Club in Spokane is two shots back after shooting a 66 and 67.
Ten players are within five shots of the lead and 42 players are under par for the championship.
The tournament concludes today.
