Julie Michelle McGowan, 49, of Hayden, passed away Monday, Aug. 13, 2012 in Hayden. Julie was a light to many people in her life. She was the ‘Mother’ to all of her daughter’s friends and took pride in the Sunday dinners she cooked for all the kids who came to enjoy the good food and great company. She really connected with the kids and considered herself a kid too, as she would start water fights and other games. Julie really did see the joy in everyday life.

Julie worked as a CNA for most of her life and took pride in her job. She was a very caring person who would find the positive in those whom she served. That was the reason she enjoyed everyday life.

Julie was born Aug. 25, 1962 in Watsonville, Calif. to Yutaka Kimoto and Pann Rene Pox. She is survived by her daughter, Leah Renee McGowan of Coeur d’Alene; sisters Cheryl Leigh Engles and Lynn S. Kimoto and brother, Mike Yutaka Kimoto. Julie is preceded in death by her husband, Paul McGowan and son, Robert McGowan and sister Patricia Ann Bridges.

There will be a private service for friends and family on Friday, Aug. 24, at 11 a.m. at 2586 Thomas Hill Drive in Coeur d’ Alene. Bell Tower Funeral Home in Post Falls is in care of the arrangements.
