Riverstone lot lease OK'd

The Kootenai County commissioners voted 2-0 on Tuesday to approve a lease agreement with Riverstone West, LLC over a parking lot used for Citylink services.

The 12-month lease requires the county to pay $1,730 a month to use the 1.4-acre dirt lot at the Riverstone development as a park-and-ride location for the free busing system.

Riverstone has provided the lot at East Seltice Way and West Riverstone Drive for Citylink use for free for the past few years.

Commissioners Todd Tondee and Jai Nelson voted in favor of the agreement at the commissioners' business meeting in the county administration building. Commissioner Dan Green wasn't present at the meeting.
