AquaSox defeat Indians in series finale

SPOKANE - Marcus Littlewood hit a three-run homer to right field in the fifth inning as the Everett AquaSox beat the Spokane Indians 8-3 in the finale of a five-game Northwest League series Wednesday night in front of 3,662 at Avista Stadium.

Everett (10-12 second half) opened the scoring in the first inning as Patrick Kivlehan hit a two-run homer to center field for an early lead.

Spokane (9-13) scored in the bottom of the second as Joe Maloney singled leading off the inning and scored on a ground out by Christopher Garia.

Former Washington State standout Taylor Ard went 2 for 4 with two RBIs and a run scored for Everett.

Spokane travels to Yakima for a three-game series starting tonight at 7:05.
