Workshop offers contracting assistance for manufacturers
North Idaho College's Idaho Small Business Development Center is offering a free workshop on government contracting assistance for manufacturers in North Idaho.
Idaho SBDC has teamed up with the American Manufacturer Network and the Washington Procurement Technical Assistance Center and TechHelp to cosponsor this workshop.
The goal of this workshop is to introduce manufacturers in Idaho to great business resources available to help them thrive in this economy. The workshop will profile AMN, which assists manufacturers to overcome challenges associated with securing government contracts, particularly those with the Department of Defense.
In the past four months, the AMN has helped small manufacturers secure six contracts totaling between $1 million and $1.5 million. American Manufacturer Network is investing up to $1 Million through 2012 and up to $3 Million over the next four years to assist manufacturers obtain government contracts.
At the workshop, manufacturers will be introduced to not only government contracting resources but also strategy development, personnel development, and advanced manufacturing techniques to assist manufacturers become more profitable.
It will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 5, at the NIC Workforce Training Center at 525 W. Clearwater Loop in Post Falls. Lunch will be provided.
