Grading work to start at McEuen

COEUR d'ALENE - The McEuen Field project timeline has been updated.

City officials said Tuesday that mass grading at the parking lot of City Hall and the trail at the base of Tubbs Hill is slated to begin at the end of August.

The bid opening for contractors interested in doing the project is Aug. 14, with the winning bid slated to go before the City Council at its Aug. 21 meeting.

The basketball court and playground will remain intact until next spring. Parking at the 3rd Street lot will be reduced during the construction activities in August. During construction at the City Hall parking lot, no parking will be available in the lower lot.

Additionally, the city may install a Webcam for people to follow the project as it moves along.
