KEIZER, Ore. - Three Spokane pitchers combined to one-hit Salem-Keizer as the Indians defeated the Volcanoes 3-2 in Northwest League play Wednesday night in front of 2,415 at Volcanoes Stadium.

Christopher Garia singled leading off the game and came around to score to give Spokane (7-8 second half) a 1-0 lead in the first inning. Salem-Keizer (7-8) took the lead in the bottom of the first as Mac Williamson grounded to the Spokane shortstop, but an error allowed both Kentrell Hill and Matthew Duffy to score.

Spokane tied it at 2 in the third inning on a solo home run by Cam Schiller and regained the lead as Patrick Cantwell doubled and scored in the fifth.

Spokane's Richard Alvarez pitched three scoreless innings for the win and Alec Asher two innings for his third save of the season as Spokane didn't allow a hit after the first inning. Spokane starter Jose Valdespina struck out six, but walked five in four innings.

The teams continue their five-game series tonight at 6:35 at Volcanoes Stadium.
