Indians can't rally past Volcanoes

SALEM, Ore. - Matthew Duffy's 2-run single in the second capped a 3-run inning and the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes beat the Spokane Indians 4-2 on Monday in Northwest League play before 2,205 at Volcanoes Stadium.
The Indians took a 1-0 lead in the first inning with Royce Bolinger's RBI single.
Spokane (6-7) and Salem-Keizer (6-7) continue their four-game series tonight.
• Indians lose in extra innings: Patrick Cantwell hit his first home run of the season, and later added an RBI single in Spokane's 10-9 loss in 11 innings late Sunday night.
