Peter Paul Faust, 49, was killed in an industrial accident at work in Fairview, Mont. on Thursday, July 26, 2012. A viewing for friends and family will be held from 3 – 6 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 3 at the Lakeview Funeral Home in Sandpoint, Idaho. A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 4, 2012 at Cedar Hills Church with Eric Rust officiating.

Pete was born on March 11, 1963 in Mannheim, Germany. He was raised in Clark Fork, Idaho by his parents Eva (Rehn) and Christopher Therien, Sr.

He married Susan Copeland and they had two sons, Anthony and Brian. He later married Nikki Mataya and they had three children Teran, Taylor, and Nicole.

Prior to running heavy equipment in Idaho, Alaska, Montana and North Dakota, Pete was a long haul truck driver in the Pacific Northwest and owned his own trucking company, Saddle Up Express based out of Rathdrum, Idaho.

He was an outdoor enthusiast and loved his horses, hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, country music, dancing and shooting pool. But he always spoke of times with his three best friends: Randy Boyd, Allen Knapp and Russ Costin.

He is survived by his fiancé Merlie Hurley of Fairview, Mont.; five children: Anthony and Brian Therien of Seattle, Wash., Teran, Taylor, and Nicole Faust of Wenatchee, Wash.; mother Eva (Erwin) Schmauder of Frankenmarkt, Austria; three sisters Victoria (Mark) Linscott of Sagle, Idaho, Donna Neff of Hayden Lake, Idaho and Andrea Silva of Beaumont, La.; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his father Christopher Therien, Sr., and his brother Christopher Therien, Jr.

Pete was a warm and loving man who loved his kids and family more than anything; he will be greatly missed and, “forever in our hearts.”
