The Kootenai County commissioners will conduct interviews tonight for the six applicants for the Coeur d'Alene School District Zone 1 trustee seat.

The interviews are open to the public. They are scheduled to start at 5 p.m. in rooms 1A/1B of the county Administration Building at 451 Government Way.

The applicants are Christa Hazel, Duncan Koler, Casey Morrisroe, James Purtee, Wanda Quinn and Luke Somner.

Although only the commissioners will decide who to appoint, they will conduct the interviews with the current four school district trustees.

The commissioners are making the trustee appointment because the seat has been vacant over 120 days, in accordance with state law.
