Post Falls police to host medicine turn-in Saturday

| April 25, 2012 9:15 PM

POST FALLS - Post Falls police will host a free medication turn-in program on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. for residents wanting to dispose of their unused or unwanted prescription drugs as part of the National Take Back Initiative.

The event will be at City Hall, 408 N. Spokane St.

Medicine should not be flushed down the toilet because it can threaten the drinking water. Medicine can also be turned in to police stations in Rathdrum and Post Falls.

Personal information on the labels should be blacked out. Police then dispose of the medicine in an incinerator.
