Alan Franklin Love, 62 April 20, 1950 - April 20, 2012

| April 25, 2012 10:00 PM

Alan Franklin Love our beloved father passed away unexpectedly on Friday, April 20, 2012.

Dad truly lived each day of life; he was an explorer taking his family with him on many expeditions. He was curious, tinkering, an inventor once trying to develop a carburetor that used less gas. He was successful.

Alan’s passions were family, fixing old cars and trucks, scuba diving, motorcycle riding, boating and fishing with his friend Captain Kirk in Mexico. He loved animals.

Our Dad shared his passions with friends taking them along for the ride. It was always exhilarating. There were no limitations for him only opportunities.

He leaves his family with a legacy of how to live life with passion, to explore, tinker, invent, seek opportunity — for that we will be forever thankful. Until we meet again.

Alan F. Love is survived by his daughter, granddaughter and son-in-law Mindy, Maisey and Casey Mettler; his wife, Barbara Love, and her children, Melissa and James; the Webb Family; the Borley Family and the Pol Family.

There will be a informal gathering of family and friends at 4:30 p.m. Sunday, April 29, 2012, at Coeur d’Alene City Park to celebrate his life.
