Enumclaw outside hitter

signs to play volleyball at NIC

HayleeMae Dennis, a 5-foot-10 outside hitter from Enumclaw High in Washington, has signed to play volleyball at North Idaho College in 2012.

"HayleeMae is one of the best all-around volleyball players I have seen in a long time," NIC coach Kandice Kelly said. "She is just as good in the back row as she is in the front. She is a great leader on the court and is very consistent and competitive. When I saw her in Vegas, I knew she was exactly what I needed at NIC."

She also earned second team All-South Puget Sound League as a sophomore and first team all-league and all-area her junior and senior years. Dennis played for the Puget Sound Volleyball Club until under-15, where she then played at the nationally ranked Washington Volleyball Academy for two years. This year she is playing once again for the academy, hoping for a fifth chance to participate at the Junior Olympics in Columbus, Ohio, in June.
