RECALL: Having our say now

| April 18, 2012 9:00 PM

The Press: “Standing up for Cd’A.” Fernan stands with Cd’A — what? They live in Fernan, not Cd’A; they don’t understand our problems. They stand for their cronies, not with the majority of our citizens then. They must not understand we’re being taxed to death here with pet projects. They must enjoy their taxes there.

Spend, tax. Tax, spend. Fernan has also been in the news for some questionable expenditures recently.

Anyone can see CdA’s fearless foursome is putting Midtown on hold because of mis-representation and pulling the McEuen info site, that’s a joke as well. Removing and updating because the city’s cost figures are incorrect. Pure politics at its worst.

The city’s going to hit us later with different phases of McEuen that’ll add up to huge expenditures and surprise, go over budget. They’re just rearranging the figures to hide them. The “our way or the highway” foursome is now focusing on protecting themselves from their own demise. They are backtracking, trying to cover up the loose ends, distancing themselves from the distortions they’ve created.

They stated they’ve attended 50 meetings listening to us. They were wearing ear plugs.

They said we had our say, not completely true. They stopped us from finishing or reading our statements by banning us from reading them.

The Fort Grounds Grill crowd spoke; we’re not going to let “those” people take our town from us. Isn’t that interesting. I say, “The needs of many will outweigh the needs of a few.”
