Our shooters have got chops.

Seriously, we've got two of the best photojournalists around, and we're not the only ones that know it.

Jerome Pollos was just awarded the Idaho Associated Press Photo of the Month prize for March for his "slice of life" shot of a man walking his dogs along the shore of Lake Coeur d'Alene.

The Idaho AP's Photo of the Month prize for February went to Press photographer Shawn Gust for his shot of Rick Santorum meeting members of the media in Coeur d'Alene.

"Jerome and Shawn Gust both do an incredible job for us. I've heard from AP bureau chiefs in Seattle, Los Angeles and New York that the photojournalism in little ol' Coeur d'Alene is second to none. That's the respect Jerome and Shawn have earned on a national level," said Press Managing Editor Mike Patrick.

They have each won the monthly AP honors multiple times during their careers here at The Press.

Join us in congratulating Jerome and Shawn for continuously capturing amazing glimpses of life in this place we all call home.
