NAMPA (AP) - Officials in southeastern Idaho say a 44-year-old woman suspected of trying to rob a convenience store was arrested after she returned a short time later and tried to buy something to drink.

Police say Stephanie Suzanne Allison went into a Nampa convenience store Friday afternoon, told the employees she had a gun and demanded cash. The clerk refused and she left.

Investigators say employees told the woman to leave when she returned a short time later to buy a drink.

Clerks followed her on foot until officers could track her down.

Allison is charged with burglary and attempted robbery and was booked into the Canyon County jail. In Idaho, burglary can be charged if a person enters a building with the intent of committing a felony.
