In an ongoing effort to better serve our aging population, the Area Agency on Aging of North Idaho is pleased to host workshops throughout the year, free of charge, covering topics most frequently requested by seniors. Upcoming workshops will cover topics including "Medication Management," "Pain Management," "Hearing Loss," "Preparing For Winter," etc.

The upcoming April 11 workshop will address some of the most serious problems facing seniors today, including the dangers associated with the simultaneous use of prescription drugs and certain over the counter medications and supplements; the dangers of over-medicating (widely recognized as the primary reason for emergency room visits and/or relocation to an assisted living facility); the importance of maintaining a summary of medications, and advising your physician and pharmacist of all medications you are taking; and a variety of helpful hints and strategies for keeping safe.
