GAMES: Store gave generously

I want to thank the Coeur d'Alene Shopko and store manager, James Dean, for their most generous donation of board games for our military men and women overseas.

I personally have a son serving in Afghanistan and after speaking with him I wanted to try to bring something to our troops from "home." I decided on "family" time and thinking of my children that included games. My family and I have sent many and I then asked our local stores for donations, James believed in our cause and helped us out.

It is very emotional to have community support like James and Shopko showed. Thank you very much for your generosity and support of our military!

9/11: A great ceremony at Heroes plaza

Thank you for the beautiful 9/11 ceremony at the Fallen Heroes Plaza. Thank you to the firemen and women, police and our armed forces that protect us every day, both here at home and abroad. Our hearts go out to those who have lost loved ones in acts of terrorism and in the line of duty.

Thank you especially for publicly acknowledging that our ultimate protector is God and Jesus Christ. May He bless us all.
