Mary Louise Kleeman, 86

Mary L. Kleeman passed away from natural causes at Holy Family Hospital in Spokane on Aug. 20, 2011. Her loving children, Bob Hunt, Linda Kelly and Nancy Kelly, held her hands through the night until God called her. She was born to Armer and Ruth (Starling) Barr on Sept. 20, 1921, in Parkersburg, W.Va.

She married Rex Hunt in 1945 and gave birth to her son, Robert Hunt (Marilyn) of Post Falls; and daughters, Linda Kelly (Tim) of Cusick, Wash., and Nancy Kelly (Jim) of Hayden Lake. She lived in such places as Biloxi, Miss., Encampment, Wyo., and Kwajalein, Marshall Islands, as her husband was transferred by the U.S. Air Force.

She was a loving mother and homemaker, always caring for her children and others. Later she married John Kleeman in 1966 and he preceded her in death in 1973. Clair "Mack" McArthur, her forever friend of more than three decades, was present to say goodbye a few hours before her passing.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Robert and Paul; and her sister, Dorothy.

She is survived by her sister, Genevieve Ruth (Barr) Danford of Simi Valley, Calif.; as well as her three children; three step-children, Diana Burgemaster, Dennis Kleeman and Susan Bartch; five grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 1-8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2011, and from 11 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2011. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2011, in the Alwin Chapel at Hazen & Jaeger Funeral Home, 1306 N. Monroe St., Spokane. Interment will follow at Greenwood Memorial Terrace.
