ART: Restaurant lauds city efforts

We would like to voice our opinion on the artwork that was stolen from in front of our restaurant, The Olympia.

We appreciate the City Council and the Downtown Association in their hardworking efforts to beautify our downtown and support our local artists. As a long-standing business, we support the programs that make our town safe and attractive to visitors and local customers. I would also like to add that many of our customers and visitors during the summer have commented on how beautiful the art is and have taken many pictures.

It's so sad that in friendly Coeur d'Alene, someone felt so comfortable as to take something that was not theirs. This leaves a bad taste in everybody's mouth. I hope these programs will continue which will show our strength and determination as a community to keep a positive attitude.
