Sleep Country USA announces acquisition of Mattress Outlet

Celebrating its 20th anniversary, Sleep Country USA announced its new presence in Eastern Washington and Northern Idaho with the acquisition of Mattress Outlet.

Sleep Country USA will open 14 new stores in Coeur d'Alene, Ellensburg, Spokane, Yakima, Wenatchee, Richland, Kennewick, Moses Lake and Lewiston.

The new stores will open later this year, welcoming Mattress Outlet employees to join the employee-owned company and one of the Northwest's most recognized brands.

Sleep Country will also expand its Foster Kids Program to these new markets, collecting important material items for foster children in its six annual drives.

"We are continually looking for strategic growth opportunities that allow us to reach new communities," said Dale Carlsen, CEO of Sleep Country USA. "Acquiring Mattress Outlet enables us to expand rapidly into a brand new region with over a dozen stores, bringing local customers quality sleep products and a superior shopping experience, along with the ability to give back to their own community by donating to our Foster Kids Program drives."

Edward Jones advisers providing Toys for Tots drop-off locations

The Coeur d'Alene, Hayden, Post Falls and Rathdrum area Edward Jones financial advisers have joined together to support the Marine Corps League Toys for Tots program by using their offices as drop-off locations for this year's toy drive.

Local residents may help needy children in the area by bringing in a new, unwrapped toy to any Edward Jones North Idaho area office during regular business hours beginning Nov. 14.

"With the holiday season around the corner, we are all getting ready for the festivities," local financial adviser Rod Clugston said. "And as this is the season of giving, now is a great time to remember the less fortunate in our community."

Real estate agents earn 'Certified Negotiation Expert' title

Two real estate agents with Windermere/Coeur d'Alene Realty recently earned their "Certified Negotiation Expert" designation,

Mercile Goes and Randy Oetken received the honor after successfully completing formal negotiation training from the Real Estate Negotiation Institute.

With professional negotiation skills, agents are able to help clients obtain better results in the sale or purchase of their home, according to a press release.

Coeur d'Alene Realty has served Kootenai County since 1922, and in 1994 affiliated with Windermere Real Estate. Windermere/Coeur d'Alene Realty has three offices in Coeur d'Alene, Post Falls and Hayden and 140 agents and full time staff.

On Site for Seniors adds three

primary caregivers to service

On Site for Seniors, Inc. has added Holli Hansen, Kimberly Beine and Mary T. Szymansk to its staff, increasing the service capacity to four part-time and two full-time primary care providers.

Hansen is a graduate of Lakeland High School. She previously worked at Kootenai Medical Center as a member of the Nursing Resource Team and received her master's of science, nurse practitioner from Idaho State University in 2010.

Dr. Kimberly Beine is a member of Christian Medical and Dental Society, graduated from the University of California, San Diego, School of Medicine and obtained her M.D. in June, 1995. Beine graduated in June, 1997 from Sacred Heart Medical Center's Transitional Residency.

Szymanski received her bachelor of science degree from Montana State University and her master of science in nursing from the University of Utah. She has 23 years of experience primarily in geriatric medicine.

On Site for Seniors is a Christ-centered, patient-focused mobile medical practice.
