Betty Mae Deitrick, 83

Betty May Deitrick departed peacefully, on the evening of Sunday, October 9, 2011, with her daughters and companion dog Abigail at her side, joining her beloved husband, Glen Deitrick, mother Mary and Sister Lois in Heaven.

Born, Betty Mae Allred, in Jamestown, Tennessee, November 23, 1928.  Betty completed High School in nearby Knoxville, later, with her mother, Mary Allred Hastings, father Kenneth Hastings and sister Lois to Grand Coulee, WA.   Betty began working as an Operator with Bell Telephone Company in 1955, where she met the love of her life Glen Deitrick-they wed on Betty's birthday November 23, 1956.

Glen and Betty moved to Post Falls, Idaho, where they started their family--Betty's greatest joy!    She delighted in being a loving, gracious and devoted wife, mother, grandmother.  Some of Betty's fondest memories include, caring for her loved ones, cooking & baking fabulous meals, family camping trips to Sam Owen Bay on Lake Pend Oreille, Sunday dinners, spending the hot days of summer with her daughters on Lake Coeur d'Alene once school was out, hosting her whole family at home for holidays, having grand children and being a cornerstone in their young lives and-- in these last five years her treasured relationships & social activities with her Mission Meadows community of friends & neighbors.

Betty is survived by her two daughters and two grandchildren; Glenda and Ron Trees of Lewiston, ID and Dianna and Eric Tibesar and grandchildren Cody and Courtney Tibesar of Liberty Lake, also,  her dog Abigail, now residing at Echo Valley Ranch in Lewiston, ID.

A  Memorial Open House Celebrating of Betty's life will be held Saturday afternoon 2:00 pm -4:00 pm, November 12, 2011 at the Mission Meadows Community Center, 19312 E. Nora Lane, Spokane Valley, WA.
