Joe A. Carrillo, 81

Joe A. Carrillo passed away Nov. 20, 2011, in Phoenix, Ariz. He was a resident of Quartzsite, Ariz., for 10 years.

Joe was a retired Teamster. He worked for Supervalue for 20 years in Spokane. Joe married Lorraine (Cookie) Colombini on April 1, 1949. They were married for 62 years. They lived in the Post Falls area for 30 years. He loved farming, gardening and taking care of birds.

When he retired Joe and Cookie moved to Quartzsite. Joe and Cookie had four daughters, all of his girls were at his side when he passed away. The family held a private service at their home in Quartzite. Joe requested no services.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Cookie; four daughters and his four amazing sons-in-law, Judy (Mark) Tiddens of San Diego, Gail (Tandy) Osterson of Coeur d'Alene, Debbie (Walt) Alverdes of Quartzsite and Linda (Merle) Breasaw of Quartzsite. He had six grandchildren who all adored him, 18 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. He also had two brothers-in-law, Larry (Sue) Colombini of Newman Lake, Wash., and Lou (Rosie) Colombini of Plains, Mont.; and many nieces and nephews.
