Duke shoots way into Maui title game

Austin Rivers had 20 points, Seth Curry and Ryan Kelly had 17 each, and No. 6 Duke shot its way into another Maui Invitational championship game with an 82-75 win over No. 15 Michigan (4-1) on Tuesday at Lahaina, Hawaii.

Duke (6-0) put on an offensive show near the shores of the sparkling Pacific Ocean, scoring on an array of 3-pointers and spectacular shots to remain undefeated (14-0) at the Maui Invitational.

"We were chasing them the whole time," Michigan coach John Beilein said. "They're not a great team to chase. They really know how to control the ball, limit their turnovers and their perimeter played very well."

Andre Dawkins added 14 points and the Blue Devils hit 11 of 21 3-pointers while shooting 56 percent overall to earn a spot in tonight's title game against Kansas.

No. 1 North Carolina 102, Tennessee State 69: At Chapel Hill, N.C., Reggie Bullock scored a career-high 23 points and Kendall Marshall had 15 assists to help North Carolina (4-0) beat Tennessee State (2-3).

No. 7 Louisville 54, Arkansas State 27: At Louisville, Ky., Kyle Kuric scored 12 points and Louisville (4-0) beat turnover-prone Arkansas State (1-4) in the lowest-scoring game for the Red Wolves since the shot clock was implemented in 1986.

No. 8 Memphis 99, Tennessee 97: At Lahaina, Hawaii, Will Barton had 25 points and 11 rebounds, Antonio Barton scored 21 points, and Memphis (2-1) held off Tennessee (2-2) at the Maui Invitational.

No. 9 Baylor 70, South Carolina State 50: At Waco, Texas, Anthony Jones scored a career-high 21 points, including two 3-pointers in the opening stretch of the second half when Baylor (4-0) took control on the way to a victory over South Carolina State (3-2).

No. 11 Wisconsin 77, UMKC 31: At Madison, Wis., Jared Berggren scored a career-high 21 points and Wisconsin (4-0) used a suffocating defense to rout Missouri-Kansas City (1-4).

No. 14 Kansas 72, UCLA 56: At Lahaina, Hawaii, Elijah Johnson scored 23 points and Kansas nearly blew all of a 20-point lead before pulling away for a win over UCLA in the semifinals of the Maui Invitational.

Thomas Robinson had 15 points and 10 rebounds, and Tyshawn Taylor added 13 points and six assists for Kansas.

No. 17 Pittsburgh 73, La Salle 69: At Pittsburgh, Nasir Robinson scored 17 points and Pittsburgh (3-1) clamped down on defense in the final minutes to put away La Salle (2-2).

No. 21 Missouri 92, No. 20 California 53: At Kansas City, Mo., Kim English scored 19 points and Missouri (5-0) routed California (4-1) to win the CBE Classic.
