Our Alpaca scarves are made from a very fine grade of Alpaca and each fiber averages no more than 21.5 microns in diameter.

For perspective, the average human hair is 100 microns or about 5 times as thick. This allows us to offer scarves and hats that are both fashionable, sturdy and lightweight. For those folks who find wool itchy, you'll find Alpaca five times stronger than wool, yet silky smooth like cashmere. It contains no lanolin and is hypoallergenic.
