Coder shoots Lakeland to win
RATHDRUM - Josie Coder shot 5 of 8 from beyond the 3-point line and finished with 17 points to lead the Lakeland Hawks past the Kellogg Wildcats 61-28 in a nonleague game on Saturday.
"We had kind of a slow start and Kellogg did a good job in the first quarter and played a little harder than we did at the start it seemed," Lakeland coach Steve Seymour said. "We started to settle down and generate some turnovers on the press and converted some fast break opportunities."
Cieana Close had 11 points, five steals and four assists for Lakeland (2-1), which hosts Coeur d'Alene on Tuesday.
Hunter Rainio scored 12 points for Kellogg (3-1), which hosts Freeman on Nov. 30.

WALLACE - Mackenzie Dire scored 17 points as the Miners beat the Knights to win the North Star League tournament.
Courtney Jennings scored 15 points for Wallace (3-2), which hosts Kellogg on Dec. 1.
Brianna Louie and Shannon Miller scored seven points apiece for Lakeside (0-1), which received a bye into the championship game after Clark Fork was unable to travel to Wallace to play the Knights in the first round Friday.
Lakeside will host the Post Falls JV on Wednesday.
Clark Fork beat Mullan 57-23 in Saturday's consolation game. Further details were not reported.

COEUR d'ALENE - Brittany Tackett scored 20 points to lead the Viking JV past the Badger varsity at Elmer Jordan Court.
Erin Higbie had 11 steals and Madison Sumner eight steals for Coeur d'Alene, which outscored Bonners Ferry 36-12 in the second half to pull away.
"We went with a man-to-man press and they had some trouble with it," Coeur d'Alene JV coach Dan Higbie said. "Madison, Brittany and Erin did a good job putting pressure on them.
Aubree Wasmer scored 12 points for Bonners Ferry (0-1), which faces Coeur d'Alene Charter on Nov. 29 at Holy Family Catholic School.
Coeur d'Alene travels to Lakeland on Tuesday.
