Blue Hose stun No. 20 Bearcats

Khalid Mutakabbir led Presbyterian's comeback from a 15-point deficit and hit a go-ahead 3-pointer with 7.6 seconds left Saturday at Cincinnati, rallying the Blue Hose to a 56-54 upset of the No. 20 Bearcats for their biggest win in five years of Division I basketball.

The Blue Hose (3-2) trailed by 15 midway through the second half. Mutakabbir hit one big shot after another, including his 3 from the left wing that gave Presbyterian its first lead of the second half. He matched his career high with 25 points.

Cincinnati (2-1) had the last shot, but point guard Cashmere Wright's attempt went too hard off the rim, sending the Blue Hose into a celebration at midcourt while the crowd of 4,960 booed.

No. 2 Kentucky 85, Penn State 47: At Uncasville, Conn., Doron Lamb had 26 points and Kentucky (3-0) beat Penn State (3-1) in the Hall of Fame Tip-Off tournament.

No. 5 Syracuse 92, Colgate 47: At Syracuse, N.Y., Dion Waters scored 16 points, James Southerland added 14 and Syracuse (4-0) routed Colgate (1-2).

No. 8 Louisville 69, Butler 53: At Indianapolis, Kyle Kuric scored 17 points, Chris Smith added 15 and the Cardinals (3-0) beat Butler (1-2).

No. 14 Wisconsin 69, Wofford 33: At Madison, Wis., Josh Gasser scored 16 points and Wisconsin (3-0) finished the first half on a 19-2 run to take control in a victory over Wofford (1-2).

No. 18 Vanderbilt 86, North Carolina State 79: At East Rutherford, N.J., John Jenkins scored 28 points and Vanderbilt (3-1) closed the game on a 10-2 run for a victory over North Carolina State (2-1) on in the semifinals of the TicketCity Legends Classic.
