Wallace falls in 1A Division I semis

MOSCOW - Kendrick quarterback Austin Hall accounted for five touchdowns, two coming in the decisive fourth quarter, as the Kendrick Tigers defeated the Wallace Miners 36-24 in the semifinals of the state 1A Divison I playoffs Friday night at the Kibbie Dome.

Kendrick (10-1) will face Hagerman (11-0) for the state title next week at Holt Arena in Pocatello.

Wallace opened the scoring as Kidman Cook scored on a 4-yard run. Kendrick answered on a 50-yard run by Hall, who also threw for two scores.

Kendrick led 16-12 at halftime, but Wallace scored the first 12 points of the second half on 20-yard touchdown runs by Cook and Casey McKinnon to take a 24-16 lead.

Kendrick scored the final 20 points of the game.

Wallace concludes the season 9-2.
