PARTY: Local businesses help

A big thank you is in order! Once again, I have found local businesses who love to help our schools! Jamms Frozen Yogurt and Baskin Robbins, both in Coeur d'Alene, helped us out at Ramsey Magnet School of Science.

We awarded our third, fourth and fifth-grade students for trying hard on their ISAT tests by having an ice cream party. Since this was well over 300 kids, donations from both of these generous businesses really helped us out! Please, please take your family to both of these shops for a tasty treat sometime soon to say THANK YOU for being such a great community partner to our schools!

Ramsey loves ice cream and frozen yogurt! We will support you as you have supported us!

Thank you again,

FLOWERS: To be planted in parks

The city of Post Falls Parks Department would like to extend our thanks and appreciation to Bill Dean, the students at New Visions Alternative High School and Seeds of Change Greenhouse for its donation of beautiful flowers. Several flats grown and taken care of by their program have been donated and will be planted in parks such as Q'emiln Riverside Park, Chase Park and Kiwanis Park.

Donations such as these help beautify our parks and are enjoyed by all. Thank you again for your contribution to our community.

BRAS: Event raises $5,000

On behalf of the American Cancer Society's Relay For Life of Coeur d'Alene, I would like to convey my sincerest gratitude to The Fedora Pub and Grille for hosting our Bras on Dudes event!

Thank you to all of the fabulous bra decorators, silent auction donors, and all of our food and beverage sponsors. The event rose more than $5,000 for the American Cancer Society! We could not have done it without the help of our amazing models who donated their time! Thanks to Kootenai County Fire and Rescue, Best Buy and Ultimate Fitness (and others!) guys for baring all and modeling the decorated bras.

Last but not least I would like to thank all of our guests for attending our Bras on Dudes fundraiser. I am looking forward to next year's event and hope to see everyone again. Thank you!
