CHANGE: No more cronies

| May 13, 2011 10:00 PM

I think there is a feeling that if you do not have a child in public schools, you really do not care about the election for the school board trustees to be held Tuesday, May 17. However, the lion's share of our taxes goes to the public schools. We are all aware of the shocking waste of our taxpayers' money on failed programs and administrative expenses.

Every two years we have yet another levy request with no accountability or fiscal responsibility. Of course we all need to be open minded about levies and money for school improvements; however there seems to be no balance on our school board. When the school board for Cd'A is weighted toward the friends and cronies of Hazel Bauman as opposed to being elected by the public, in the true INTEREST of the public, there is no true accountability in the spending of our tax money.

We need at least one school board member who will help reign in this biased, spending that is so wasteful. This is why I am supporting Tom Hamilton for Zone 2 school board trustee. When Tom Hamilton says ‘The Rubber Stamp Stops Here,' please think seriously about that. Someone on the school board needs to raise their hand and represent those of us who feel who feel the Cd'A school board is spending taxpayers' money not only unwisely but frivolously. It is all a matter of public record.
