LCDC: Where last words reside

| May 4, 2011 10:00 PM

I think I owe the mayor and her friends the LCDC an apology. They are doing only what is best for their investments downtown. Sure, they are doing it with your money, but then in their position, who else's money could do such a big job? In these times of very few jobs and low pay, sales are down. I mean times are tough so lets pick on the people. We can't afford to give city employees any raises or cost of living increases right now but wait until the money rolls in for the new park.

It seems the City Council, LCDC and their friends own most of downtown and they will do anything to get money rolling in that area. YOUR MONEY is their big tool and we could care less what things in their area you want to keep. Those pesky kids are playing ball on very valuable land and that boat launch. WELL! Boat people don't buy stuff out of downtown stores!

Think like a building owner downtown and you can see their point. I mean, you voted her in so it's her right to do as she sees fit. I understand their way of thinking and though I think it stinks, you did vote her in so as an outsider I should keep my thoughts to myself.

Forget I said a word.
