PROJECT: Effort improves facility

As coaches we would like to thank all those amazing community members who took part in the field reconstruction and improvement at Larry Schwenke Softball Field at Coeur d'Alene High School.

This was a collaboration of both Coeur d'Alene and Lake City supporters working together to improve the facility for the enjoyment of players and spectators alike. It is uplifting to see this kind of joint effort to improve the environment our local athletes compete in.

Thank you to all involved including: Avista, Big Sky Development, Premier Electric, Interstate Concrete, Land Surveyors Inc., the Gleaves family, Stangel family, Northcoast Electric, Dan Robertson and Coeur d'Alene School District, Safeco, and of course, the Mighty Viking families: Rick and Cheryl Rasmussen, Dennis and Salley Spencer, John and Jackie Tendall, Bob Ball, Jim and Diane Scholwinski, Tim Clark, Bryan Burke, Mike and Brandi Chapman, Jason and Tracee Taylor and Heather and Montee. You all rock!

CITY: Is giving, accommodating

The Coeur d'Alene Eagles would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to the management and staff of both the Coeur d'Alene Parks Department and the Coeur d'Alene Press.

Not only did both entities support us and the special needs children of our area immensely during the event on April 8-9 but all year through to facilitate our goal of giving back to charities in both our area and nationwide.

People of our community should be proud that they live in such a giving and accommodating city. I know we do! Thank you again and again!

ART: Articles, photos helped

The Coeur d'Alene Art Association would like to thank you and your staff for the good work you did to get the word out about our Artist Showcase. Your articles and photos did so much to further our success.

Also a thank you goes out to the Plaza Shops for allowing us to overrun their hallways for two days, to our sponsor the 3rd Street Storage, to the North Idaho College wrestlers for helping loading and unloading supplies for the show, to Cardia Trio for the lovely music and to Wes Hanson who took him time to jury our Juried show. Our show was a great success with help and we thank you all.
