Ruth E. Howard

Ruth E. Howard, of Dalton Gardens, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 27, 2011. Her final days were spent surrounded by family and friends, who loved her very much. Ruth was born Nov. 8th, 1924, to Fred and Ginny Hollenback in Spokane. She married Jim Howard on Nov. 27, 1943, in Spokane.

Besides being a devoted wife and mother, Ruth was also active in Christian Womens Club, Stonecroft Bible Studies and a member of Hayden Lake Friends Church.

Ruth also enjoyed camping, gardening, baking, and socializing with friends and family. Ruth lived life to the fullest and her wit made her the life of the party. She was outgoing and made friends wherever she went. She was always willing to give of her time and energy to help anyone who had need.

Ruth is survived by four sons: Bill and Mia Howard of Kingston, Jim Jr. and Rose Howard of Snohomish, Wash., Mike and Patty Howard of Cheney, Wash., Bob and Barb Howard of Moses Lake, Wash. Other survivors include nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at Hayden Lake Friends Church on April 2, 2011, at 1 p.m.

In lieu of dowers memorials may be made in Ruth's name to Union Gospel Mission, Spokane.
