Volunteers are wanted to help with North Idaho Centennial Trail Care Day, which is set for 8:30 a.m. to noon on April 16.

The cleanup will be in unison with efforts across the border in Washington in order to care for the entire Centennial Trail, more than 60 miles.

The trail extends from Higgens Point, east of Coeur d'Alene, along Lake Coeur d'Alene and the Spokane River west of Spokane to Nine Mile.

Workers will meet at the Coeur d'Alene Chamber of Commerce or Post Falls City Hall depending on their mile assignment at 8 a.m., grab trash bags and fuel up on coffee, juice and pastries.
