STUDENTS: Thanks for levy

The students of Project Bridge CDA would like to thank the community for voting to pass the recent levy. It means a great deal that district staff and students have the support of the community.

SYMPHONY: Artists fabulous

The Coeur d'Alene Symphony presented the National Young Artist Competition Winners in their concert last Saturday night, March 12.

I am so thrilled that I was encouraged to attend. Not only was the symphony a wonderfully talented group, but the young artist winners were world class musicians. The artists, Yu-Han Chen, Kirsten Kamna, Amelia Sie, Franky Leung Jr., Sabrina Laney Warren and Tzuying Huang were amazing!

The symphony supported them very generously with their talent and enthusiasm.

Thank you to all the major sponsors for supporting the arts and the volunteers who housed and transported the artists. It is wonderful to see so many supporting the symphony and the arts.

Congratulations for a job well done!

EVENT: Thanks to all involved

We would like to thank all those who volunteered, donated, and took part in the spaghetti feed that was held for Larry and Tina Clifford, last Saturday at the Church of the Nazarine. This event had an overwhelming response and raised a very large amount of money for Larry and Tina. Thank you does not seem to be enough to cover our graditude and appreciatoin to all who were a part in helping make this a success. We would like to especially thank Rob Jacobs at Mt View Motors in Post Falls for donating a car. Raffle tickets were sold at the event, and the winner turned it back over to Rob for resale, where it brought in more money to go to the family. We would like to thank Olive Garden for donating the pasta and sauce, Post Falls Floral for the lovely flower centerpieces, FSA for the paper goods and bread, Trading Co. in Post Falls for the salad, dressing, cookies and balloons. Starbucks donated all of the coffee, we thank you. Thank you to Pastor Mark for allowing us to use The Church of the Nazarine. Thanks are also extended to Templin Resort, Sue's Plant and Floral in Spokane, The North Idaho Fair, Super 1 in Post Falls, Northwest Specialty Hospital, Dr. Beaton, and all of the many other businesses, and individuals who donated raffle items, and baskets. The donations and support was endless. Words can not describe the thanks that we want to extend to our community, for coming together in time of trouble for this family.

With most sincere and unforgetable thanks to Chris, Susan, Wendy, Ken, Dave, Steve, Susie and Robin for helping pull this together. To all I have not mentioned, the list goes on and on, you know who you are. You Rock!

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you.

PFHD: Thanks for supporting 'Rake-A-Lake'

It is with great pride that the Hauser Lake Watershed Coalition recognizes the Post Falls Highway District for its outstanding efforts over the past 8 years in supporting the Coalition's annual "Rake-A-Lake" lake cleanup program. In just the first three years of the program, more than 17 tons of trash has been removed from the roadside and beaches of Hauser Lake.

The effort put forth by the Post Falls Highway District, working in conjunction with the Coalition, creates a lasting impression on residents of what can be accomplished when organizations work cooperatively. The bright orange bags supplied by the District have come to signal that it's time to clean up... and the reduction of roadside debris in the last few years has been noticeable.

Therefore, the Coalition wishes to thank Kelly Brownsberger, Mike Monette, and their crew for helping the Coalition with its mission to improve and protect Hauser Lake's water quality. Come rain or shine, the ever dependable District employees have demonstrated to the lake community that they "care enough to make a difference."

This cooperative, community effort between an all-volunteer group and the district is a great example of how community services and benefits can be amplified at no additional expense to the taxpayers. This presents a win-win situation for the growing lake community and its natural environment.

Sincerely,

JONELL DESMARAIS

Hauser Lake Watershed Coalition Inc. president

KMC: Couldn't be treated better

For many years I have been told that if you really want a safe operation you must go to the hospitals in Spokane. On December 9 I had 4 way bypass surgery at Kootenai hospital. There is no way anyone could have been treated better then I was at Kootenai hospital. Every detail from pre-op test to the actual operation and recovery in the heart intensive care unit was absolutely top notch! I'm here to tell you they are the best and I would go back if necessary in a heart beat! Thanks for the great service.
