Senate to honor NIC women's team
The North Idaho College women's basketball team's stellar season will be recognized Tuesday by the Idaho Senate.
Lawmakers will consider Senate Proclamation No. 103, written Friday by the Senate State Affairs Committee.
The proclamation commends and congratulates the Lady Cardinals for earning the school's first-ever NJCAA women's basketball national title.
Sen. John Goedde, R-Coeur d'Alene, will carry the proclamation on the floor of the Senate.

MacKinney gets Eagle Scout Award
Matthew MacKinney, 16, of Troop 211 received his Eagle Scout Award on Dec. 6, 2010. The Ceremony honoring him for this achievement was held at the Coeur d'Alene Bible Church.
MacKinney is the son of Dan and Robin MacKinney of Harrison. His Eagle project included various construction and maintenance improvements at the Kootenai School District Ball Fields.
Museum gift shop needs volunteers
COEUR d'ALENE - Volunteers for the Museum of North Idaho gift shop are needed.
All volunteers need to fill the position are enjoying the public and sales. A knowledge of the region's history isn't necessary. What you need to know can be learned on the job. The Museum is open April 1 to Oct. 31, Tuesday through Saturday 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Volunteers can work from one day a week to on call as available. An orientation meeting is planned for Wednesday.
