Smith is River City Hospice community liaison
Tina Smith has accepted a new position and begun work for River City Hospice as its community liaison.
Smith is a lifetime resident of Coeur d'Alene and a registered nurse with 20 years of experience in the profession.
River City Hospice is located at 3726 E. Mullan Ave., in Post Falls.
She said her role at River City is to communicate with the community. She said it is important for our community to realize that hospice is covered under Medicare, HMOs, and managed care organizations.
"It is a benefit that has been earned and often times goes unused," Smith said.
River City Hospice services are provided by a team of physicians, nurses, counselors, social workers, therapists, chaplains, aides and volunteers.
River City also has a Moscow location, at 314 S. Washington St.
Post Falls Insurance offers AARP insurance program
The Hartford Financial Services Group Inc. announced it is making its AARP-branded auto insurance program available through Post Falls Insurance, in Post Falls.
Post Falls Insurance was chosen after satisfying eligibility requirements, which includes completing a training program designed to highlight the needs of the 50 and older population.
According to The Hartford, most AARP members prefer advice and counsel from a local agent when making decisions about insurance.
AARP-branded insurance products were previously only available from The Hartford by phone, the Internet and by mail.
Post Falls Insurance Agency is an independent agency that specializes in auto, home and other personal lines of insurance. It is located at 614 E. Seltice Way.
The Hartford, a Fortune 500 company, is an insurance-based financial services company that serves households, businesses and employees.
