Event will help Kram family
COEUR d'ALENE - A fundraiser for the Kevin Kram family is scheduled 5-9 p.m. Saturday at Calypso's coffee shop on Lakeside Avenue.
There will be a music by five performers, a silent auction, and button and T-shirt sales.
The event is being put on by "The Syndicate," a new Christian group that wants to do monthly community outreach programs.
It is free. Donations of cash and food will be accepted.
Kevin Kram has operated Cherished Ones Ministries in Coeur d'Alene for nearly a decade. The nonprofit provides meals for the needy.
Kram's wife Danette has been diagnosed with cancer and is in a Seattle hospital waiting for a liver transplant. Kram, a contractor, has been unable to work because he's been with his wife.
The five performers will be Ryan Hadden, Brian de Austin, Reckless Pursuit, Effervescent Smoothie, Tim Nagle and Buck Storm.
Those attending are asked to bring a donation of nonperishable for the Kram family.
"Let's pay back the Kram family for nine-plus years of community service," says a flier.
Donations are still being accepted for the auction.
