PROTEST: Students tell another story

| March 18, 2011 10:00 PM

Another great photo in the Coeur d'Alene Press showing how intelligent our "children" are! After picking up my paper, there on Saturday's Press front page was a photograph of a handful of Post Fall High School students, protesting about possibly losing some teachers to the much needed cutbacks by the state of Idaho. It is obvious that this minor protest was orchestrated by the teachers, expressing their opinions in the classroom, instead of teaching the basics like English.

Like the past photographs of students and teachers, one saying how sexy their teachers are and the other with a teacher flaunting her cleavage, this photograph on Saturday's paper says a lot as well! One student is holding a cardboard sign with the word "I." The student with the Mohawk haircut glued into the air has a sign reading "Teachers." So together they read "I Teachers." Isn't there supposed to be a verb in there somewhere? Silly me, I was taught by teachers the old fashioned way! Maybe the two students had just watched the movie "I Robot!" Maybe the sign should read "I are educated by a sexy teacher!"

As we all know, computers are used everyday within our education system. The "children" use them in their high school studies, at North Idaho College, and at four-year colleges. The transition to using computers is an excellent idea by Tom Luna, as a form of saving taxpayers money and providing continuing education at the same time. I would hope that the teachers are not only informing the students about protesting, but also about how broke the Idaho and Federal governments are!
