Sleep City leases space on Bosanko Avenue

Mattress store company Sleep City has leased 4,000 square feet of floor space at 148 W. Bosanko Ave. in Coeur d'Alene, according to the Kiemle and Hagood Co.

Kiemle and Hagood broker Chad Carper handled the lease transaction.

The space will be occupied starting April 1, and will be used for a showroom and retail sales, Carper said.

Apollo Spas previously occupied the space, he said.

Apollo is moving a couple spaces over to a larger space, he said.

Command Center Inc. announces revenue

Command Center Inc., the Post Falls-based temporary labor provider, announced revenue of $69.4 million for the 53-week period ended Dec. 31. That was an increase of 35 percent on revenue of $51.6 million for the 52-week period ended Dec. 25, 2009.

The company recorded an operating profit of $1.56 million from its 50 branch stores in 2010 compared with a loss of $3.19 million from the operations of its 50 stores in 2009.

Command Center Chairman and CEO Glenn Welstad said, "At the beginning of 2010, I stated that management's focus would be to improve working capital, reduce debt and interest expense, and lower the company's receivable financing costs."

He said the company now is positioned to accelerate both sales and profitability through organic growth and strategic acquisitions.

He said Command Center was able to employ 29,400 individuals in 2010. Those employees worked nearly five million hours for nearly 3,000 clients.

Coeur d'Alene Insurance to offer AARP program

The Hartford Financial Services Group Inc. announced it is making its AARP-branded auto insurance program available through Coeur d'Alene Insurance, in Coeur d'Alene.

Coeur d'Alene Insurance was chosen after satisfying eligibility requirements, which includes completing a training program designed to highlight the needs of the 50 and older population.

"We are thrilled to now be able to offer these benefits with our independent agent partners," Kathy Bromage, vice president of The Hartford, said.

According to The Hartford, most AARP members prefer advice and counsel from a local agent when making decisions about insurance.

AARP-branded insurance products were previously only available from The Hartford by phone, the Internet and by mail.

Coeur d'Alene Insurance Agency, established in 1922, is a member of the Independent Insurance Agents and Brokers of Idaho and offers all lines of insurance to customers in North Idaho.

The Hartford, a Fortune 500 company, is an insurance-based financial services company that serves households, businesses and employees.

AARP is a nonprofit, nonpartisan membership organization that helps people age 50 and older.

Windermere Real Estate announced the addition of Wendy Burgener-Wallin to Windermere Coeur d'Alene Realty.

Burgener-Wallin is a real estate agent with 14 years in the industry, including three years as the owner of a brokerage on the central coast of California.
