James Wesley Jenkins, 58

James Wesley Jenkins, 58, of Hayden, died March 14, 2011, at his home in Hayden. He was born at Lake City General Hospital in Coeur d'Alene on Jan. 8, 1953, to Dave and June Jenkins.

He attended Dalton Gardens Elementary and Coeur d'Alene High School. He enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1971, where he served for 13 years.

He is survived by his son, Jesse Jenkins of Germany; two daughters, Nadja Jenkins and Jennifer Toprak of Germany; seven grandchildren of Germany; his mother of Hayden; two brothers, Gary Jenkins (and Kathy) of Athol, and Erin Jenkins (and Katy) of Twin Lakes; sister Sue Carter (and William) of Coeur d'Alene; sister-in-law Laura Jenkins of Hayden; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Dave Jenkins and brother Shawn Jenkins of Hayden. He enjoyed fishing, camping, writing, drawing, growing flowers and mechanical work.

Memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 24, 2011, at Yates Funeral Home in Hayden.
